Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A flawed production which doesn't hold up to modern standards of thrillers, but it was a fun film mixing melodrama with comedy. Rated: C Sep 4, 2001 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member An "old dark house" horror/mystery/comedy which follows a lot of the typical elements. A reading of the will occurs and it is determined that the granddaughter is to receive the fortune if she arrives by midnight. If she does not, the money will be spread among five other expectant relatives. Two women claiming to be that granddaughter arrive to the house that night. One of them is murdered so suspuscion is cast on several of the guests. For being B grade this captures all the elements of the bigger studios films very well. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member i like this film a great deal.it's very comforting to watch what with all the lightning and thunder going on outside.charlie grapewin is superb and delivers a great script with muster.in one scene he's talking for quite a few minutes without a cut, going from actor to actor, let's see modern actors do it as good.mary carlilse looks lovely, wallace ford is sharp and everyone else just seems to click with their characters and the script.is this the first mention of elvira?terrific fun,get it from sinister cinema. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't know why someone would highly recommend this movie, it doesn't have any good actors, the story is predictable, and it's kinda boring. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Very entertaining classic whodunit, splashes of humor were very welcoming and the cast is terrific. Good story, very enjoyable. Simple, sweet and short. Great pace. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
