Victor O A moment of inspiration has led me to look into Sarah Carter’s filmography and this movie caught my attention. This looked nice but after having seen a few of her films in a span of time I wasn’t that hopeful. Holly is an aspiring astronomy professor in Chicago who wants to enjoy a good old-fashioned Christmas with her family in New York, but her boyfriend’s career is taking priority, but she decides to take a trip anyway when she makes the trip by bus and ends up meeting Luke. Luke is a handsome ranch hand who enjoys the holidays and wants to make the trip to New York to visit his brother at a rodeo competition. One thing leads to another, and they make a fast friendship that becomes something more. I enjoy seeing Sarah Carter, but next to a few TV shows she hasn’t made anything really good as far as movies go, like many great looking actresses. But every so often I know an actress can pull a great performance and this was magnificent. A little iffy near the end but this was a great watch. Absolutely wonderful. Yes, it was somewhat predictable, but it was heartwarming and very entertaining. All the main characters played their roles very well. Particularly Sarah Carter. Her acting was very convincing, especially during the break-up scene. She really put herself in the moment. Also, the chemistry between the two main characters was great. Some of the best I’ve seen in these Hallmark movies. I loved the scene at the dinner table with George Canyon. What a great performer. Definitely worth watching. He is a great Canadian artist. One of my favourite Hallmark Christmas movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Sarah Carter is effortlessly adorable and convincing with great chemistry with Damon Runyan; Too bad the scriptwriters didn't trust giving up a future with a New York City attorney and had to make the fiance a total tool. Still very watchable despite being fantastical Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
