Bill C Bizarre story, to weird to be false. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/07/23 Full Review Anonymous As a long-time regretful member of this group, I appreciate the interviews with women who were harmed, just as I was. I wish that there had been a bit more care put into the making of this, so that it felt a bit more supported and organized. But I do appreciate it being put on Netflix, and want to say that the remaining people in the OneTaste company appear to be doing a lot of the bad audience reviews here as a way to take attention away from difficult facts that they don't want to be exposed so that they can become successful again. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Adam F Out of millions of people touched by the One Taste organization, the documentary only found about 5 people who related on camera that they had bad experiences, two of whom didn't feel trustworthy to me. It was mostly centered on the usual "problematic" founder trope, but failed to churn up much beyond what one would expect for an organization that effectively sells sexual experiences. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review Valerie S Filled to the brim with footage from inside OneTaste, I found the film engrossing from the start. Oftentimes, I find myself stopping before the end when films turn to trauma porn but I found the filmmakers to be quite tactful and honest in their storytelling, especially from survivors. I also really appreciated the framing with other events throughout the film like the rise of startups in Silicon Valley and the MeToo movement. Thought-provoking film that left me satisfied. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review v v Definitely one important story to be shared...As much I am a feminist, that much I believe in setting healthy boundaries for both masculine and feminine energies (biologically terminized as genders). Definitely matriarchat is no serving once its wicked and manipulated. Me personally, I have experienced knowing from my enviroment a personality characterized with the common traits as Nicole would be define "connecting eyes", "charismatic", stubborn, great seller, attractive etc...In my case, thanks god, I have never experienced any issues as victimes in the movie, but I can definitely confirm the way of a seduction, admiration, validation and forbidden fruit this person was addressing my direction. To make the short story long, I got twice with her in the same situation in the public, when I knew she kind of tried me to pimped me to her males friends, that would benefit lately to her. She was my close friend in my very early 20s, I was naive that time to tell her after first time to stop, because she did it again. Certainly after that I was sure, that she was not OK, but as I that time really liked her and professionally admired her, cutting and loosing the connection felt painful and terrifyieng for me, yet I did it. Hope, all young girls, women and men and anyone defining themselves any other gentle way could see this eye opening movie, and rather instead of turning into some hip cool sexual practise rather slowly finds a proper therapy that also has a certain healthy boundaries. It is also not an easy thing to find a good professional therapist - but using the instinct, and actually feeling good in the guts helps a lot. And if there is still on skeptical rational switch on (as described in the movie when the guy did not allow Nicole to imprint him), I would then explore more what stands behind the skeptical inner voice and then firstly allow moving forward with the therapy. But at the end :) who does look for, that one also finds. :)) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Bob G I was involved with this organization for a while and know a bit about what goes on on the inside. I was present for several of the shots filmed. I thought this documentary captured the story well. My critique is that it lacks details and nuance at time (likely due to time constraints), a few clips are clearly showed for shock value (which I found unnecessary), and I wish more care had been taken to anonymize a few faces of the innocent. But all that said the story is accurate, well told and I'm grateful the film was made. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/11/22 Full Review Read all reviews
