Scott Tobias The Reveal (Substack) Its creators understood that the job demands clearing a high bar for crazy, which inspires a go-for-broke pulp energy that’s appealingly ragged. Rated: 3/5 Oct 3, 2022 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald Orphan: First Kill would not pass logical examination by a reasonably sentient teenager, but it has fun with its materials and does not lose sight of its one governing idea -- that every family is weird in its own peculiar way. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 1, 2022 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian While there is a fair bit of blood left on the walls, floor and elsewhere, this is more of a psychological thriller than a slasher flick, and is far the better for it. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 30, 2022 Full Review James Preston Poole Discussing Film This movie has no reason to exist, but it works overtime to justify itself, becoming a worthwhile companion piece to the original that must be seen big, loud, and with an audible crowd (or with a group of friends at home on Paramount+). Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 22, 2024 Full Review Ygraine Hackett-Cantabrana Ghouls Magazine Is this prequel necessary? Absolutely not, but it’s an enjoyable popcorn slasher horror with plenty of truly savage and bloodthirsty moments. Rated: 3/5 Jul 9, 2024 Full Review Hector A. Gonzalez Loud and Clear Reviews Orphan: First Kill isn’t as gripping as the original film, but its self-aware tone helps make this prequel better than one might expect. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 4, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

candy loved the movie, very interesting background reflection of the character story before starting its first kill. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/22 Full Review google What I like about the movie is that it was absolute plot twists Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/22 Full Review Webster P Been too long to consider this a sequel (prequel) because it has been years since the first one. On it's own, it's a nice little Halloween film that is perfectly situated in the Halloween season. I love horror movies at the theater (good and bad) as horror movies are supposed to be group experiences for all to enjoy, be scared by, or be heckled by. This one, although it takes itself seriously, was still fun to watch and I'm looking forward to seeing others before Halloween actually gets here. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/20/22 Full Review Randy An above average thriller/horror film with a nice plot twist and good acting. I was very pleasantly surprised Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/22 Full Review Lilli Definitely had a twist I didn't expect! You should see it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/11/22 Full Review Chloe I didn’t like anything the niegue was very exaggerated the first movie the original one was way times better than this wasted my time and money for nothing Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/10/22 Full Review Read all reviews
