Andy Klein FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Perfectly adequate within its genre, but there is nothing special to recommend it. Feb 11, 2023 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue ... doesn’t leave much room for subtlety or surprise, relying on familiar genre tropes while paving a familiar road to redemption. Seriously, nothing good will come from your efforts. Rated: C Jan 20, 2023 Full Review Jeffrey Lyles Lyles' Movie Files Out of Exile largely gets the job done as a lower-budget heist drama. It’s a certain spark away from being truly special, but it should satisfy the itch for genre fans seeking a new cinematic score. Veronica Great cast, enjoyed small town feel for the locations filmed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Leslie This is an indie film without a huge budget and yet - I loved it. The lead Adam Hampton did a phenomenal job as the complicated but loyal Gabriel. The plot was captivating and the character development was solid. Great job. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Dave V I couldn't take the little brother. If he was mine I would have cut him loose, brother or not. What a moron. It was a decent movie, but a little slow and some lower level acting. Makes a mockery of PTSD too. It's ok, but not great. No surprises here. Just another armoured car heist movie. The ending sucks!!!!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Peter P 4 stars - awesome! Lots of language, some amateur camera shots occasionally along with some B-level transitions and directing and acting. But if you can get past that and not be a film critic and just enjoy the movie, you'll love the drama, the tension, the slow burn build…doesnt matter that you can see where it is headed. Thats part of the fun as the movie builds to its powerful climax, and as you see the drama unfold. Not a 5 star, but definitely not "meh," which is what rotten tomatoes says 3 stars means. Which means…4 stars! Especially if you like heist movies. I enjoyed it, especially the tension between the brothers, and the longing of the father to reconcile with his daughter. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/05/23 Full Review Roberta M Save yourself time and watch something else. Ending SUCKS. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/05/23 Full Review John B I couldn't get past the "Sheriff?" or the guy that was pretending to be an FBI agent. But the ending was nice.
