Audience Member In Out of the Body, lead guy Mark Hembrow starts having nightmares/visions of women who will be viciously killed by an unseen assailant. Sure enough, women start dropping like flies as their killed gruesomely (unfortunately, all of it's offscreen) with their eyes plucked out. Hembrow keeps trying to save this women, but his attempts fail and wind up making him suspect number one to the police. Things become interesting when we start to realize his nightmares and visions are actually out of body experiences, yet we still haven't seen a killer yet. Hmm, I wonder what the end result will be to this Brian Trenchard-Smith directed Aussie slasher from down under. Trenchard-Smith provides adequate direction for this 80's horror film. Though it's certainly not his best (Turkey Shoot, Dead End Drive In, Leprechaun 3, Night of the Demons 2), it is certainly not his worst (Leprechaun 4: In Space). I'm disappointed that most of the killing and violence happens offscreen, though the movie does manage to pick up, effects-wise and in terms of violence, in the last 30 minutes of the film. Overall, not a bad watch at all if you enjoy these kinds of 80's horror films. This could stand to get the DVD treatment here in the states.
