Brazilian cinema is mature enough to cope with high standards. As for the script it had a potential that wasn't reached. The view of the electronic music, middle class little drug world is external. It feels like it's been told from outside. It fails to actually trow you in the midst of this disturbing reality, such as "Requiem for a Dream" or "Trainspotting". The constant casualties in the characters' lives instead of making you think about chance, are more likely to make you think about soap operas and wish it doesn't go where you think it's going. And too often it goes. Marcos Prado can sure do better than that.
