Audience Member A man and a woman, who never quite made it to the big leagues of soccer, now working ordinary jobs and leading ordinary lives decide to heed the call of 'the game' by travelling the world in search of the excitement of the side of the most famous and popular sport in the world that is farthest from the glamour, money and big lights. While the concept is interesting, the actual documentary ends up inevitably being repetitive due to its stubborn delving into a structure that recalls advertisement campaigns or big brand sportwear. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I doubt anyone who doesn't love the game would fancy this, but I do. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member great story, terrible narration Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Sooooo good. Its like "The Endless Summer" of soccer movies but better. They visit amazing places all over the world playing pick-up games. The movie is humbling when you see some of the conditions people play in but at the same time you see why football is the world's game. Highly recommend. Streams on Hulu Plus. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked the concept and the travels, but it was pretty amateur feeling and that was distracting. The narration in particular was monotone and often pretty cheesy/generic. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Anyone who is passionate about the sport will appreciate the message that Paleda has to offer. Soccer is a universal language.
