jon g Anyone who's familiar with the BBC series will love this film. Please get acquainted with the original series then watch this great film. As unique as Peep Show & Steve Coogan. Do not miss these hilarious idiots. Genius characters & writing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Given it 5 stars because I enjoyed it throughout and was actually better then I thought it would be. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review kimberly g This movie is a great continuation of the show People Just Do Nothing. It's funny as heck. Nice scenic views of Tokyo. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Kurupt FM burst on to UK TV screens and were a smash hit instantly. Deluded, vacuous and thick, they really put a boring tower block in Brentford on the musical map. Over five series they somehow managed to exploit every variation of plausible comic bathos to hilarious effect and without once forcing the humour. Their feature film debut takes them to Japan, where they are pressed into becoming a boy band, and it's all a bit meh. Perhaps we've become too used to their shtick, perhaps ninety minutes is too much, perhaps too much of the dialogue is inaudible, but they were funnier confined to the TV screen in thirty minute chunks. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review toby h The boys return to take Japan…and they succeed. TV comedies don't always translate to the big screen, but this hits all those delightfully awkward notes. Don't do nothing, watch this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review matthew b I have to admit, I've never watched the TV show that this movie is based on, but just from this movie alone, I like these guys, Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Philip De Semlyen Time Out Long-time fans will love it, even if its charms wear a bit thin for anyone who doesn't already have Kurupt FM on their dial. Rated: 3/5 Aug 23, 2021 Full Review Simran Hans Observer (UK) Rarely does a half-hour TV show successfully stretch itself into a 90-minute film. It's a nice surprise, then, that the popular BBC mockumentary works as a feature. Rated: 4/5 Aug 22, 2021 Full Review Donald Clarke Irish Times Rather than just pushing the characters through their familiar beats, the well-judged narrative arc takes them on something like a proper journey. Rated: 4/5 Aug 20, 2021 Full Review Stefan Pape Common Sense Media Above anything else, and vitally considering this is a film intended to make viewers laugh, it's just riotously funny. From start to finish, it's full of classic jokes in line with the tonality of the series. Rated: 4/5 Apr 11, 2022 Full Review Victoria Luxford City AM Like every other movie spin-off, People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan is for people who cant get enough of these characters. Even in a story that feels like Spinal Tap lite, their antics will ensure the fanbase will get what they paid for. Rated: 3/5 Mar 3, 2022 Full Review Kevin Harley Radio Times After Alan Partridge and David Brent, more TV sitcom dolts make the move to film in this flawed yet winning fools-abroad comedy.
