Long-time fans will love it, even if its charms wear a bit thin for anyone who doesn't already have Kurupt FM on their dial. Go to Full Review

Rarely does a half-hour TV show successfully stretch itself into a 90-minute film. It's a nice surprise, then, that the popular BBC mockumentary works as a feature. Go to Full Review

Rather than just pushing the characters through their familiar beats, the well-judged narrative arc takes them on something like a proper journey. Go to Full Review

Above anything else, and vitally considering this is a film intended to make viewers laugh, it's just riotously funny. From start to finish, it's full of classic jokes in line with the tonality of the series. Go to Full Review

Like every other movie spin-off, People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan is for people who cant get enough of these characters. Even in a story that feels like Spinal Tap lite, their antics will ensure the fanbase will get what they paid for. Go to Full Review

12/27/2021 Given it 5 stars because I enjoyed it throughout and was actually better then I thought it would be. See more kimberly g 12/04/2021 This movie is a great continuation of the show People Just Do Nothing. It's funny as heck. Nice scenic views of Tokyo. See more 11/14/2021 Kurupt FM burst on to UK TV screens and were a smash hit instantly. Deluded, vacuous and thick, they really put a boring tower block in Brentford on the musical map. Over five series they somehow managed to exploit every variation of plausible comic bathos to hilarious effect and without once forcing the humour. Their feature film debut takes them to Japan, where they are pressed into becoming a boy band, and it's all a bit meh. Perhaps we've become too used to their shtick, perhaps ninety minutes is too much, perhaps too much of the dialogue is inaudible, but they were funnier confined to the TV screen in thirty minute chunks. See more charlie l 09/08/2021 It could have done with being a bit leaner, but the film is going to be an absolutely hilarious hit for anyone who is a fan of the TV series. See more 08/30/2021 Probably the best 30 minute comedy adaptation as a 100 minute film. Even with a totally different backdrop the characters do not look like fish out of water and it is mostly hugely believable plot. Lots of great comedy and probably need to see it again to appreciate the jokes that fly by and get missed. A great effort and if that is indeed the end of the troupe then a great way to finish. See more 08/29/2021 The fish out of water comedy gets boring after 10 minutes in Japan, and the story is generic and contrived. It has potential for funny jokes however, as some scene had me laughing out loud, but others fell incredibly flat. See more Read all reviews
