A definite must watch 💝💝💝 See more Reel_ T @Reel_Talk 3d Strong performance from Jennifer Garner in this action packed cliche vigilante revenge story. Empathy and maternal instincts set this vigilante assassin apart from the typical Hollywood dark heroine. Enough plot twists to keep things interesting. Don't know why the critics gave such bad reviews, the audience score on here is a much better reflection of this movie. I sometimes think the critics are just snobs. Fairly standard revenge movie plot, but with a female protagonist. Very violent throughout. Worth a watch but wouldn't watch it twice. See more John J @Satan69 Feb 12 Every critic's review that I read is suspect. Peppermint is a dramatization of very real problems and, how corruption rules the streets AND the courts/judicial system. To slam and dismiss Peppermint as egregious is to cast oneself into either naiveness or, as corrupt. Jennifer Garner should be applauded for taking and taking on the lead role in this movie because, she had to know that doing so would put her in the line of fire. Imagine seeing your child and husband gunned down. Imagine being bribed by the attorney defending the killers of your child and husband - killers you unquestionably can identify because you saw them. Then, imagine the judge presiding over the murder trial of those killers looking you dead in the eye and, ordering you into the psyche ward after he dismisses the charges those killers are being falsely absolved of. Or, maybe you don't need to imagine those scenarios because you've lived them. Peppermint isn't a GREAT film but, it's a sincere and comforting. See more Theo S.
