Jonathan S The worst feeling in the world is watching someone and feeling so embarrassed for him when your watching this through a television and not even in person. I laughed because it was so bad. The kind of embarrassed laugh you make when someone makes a bad joke and you laugh in embarrassment just to make the person making the joke feel better. Like a sympathy laugh. But after so long I found myself really laughing because it was so bad.. so.. wait.. maybe he is funny. Thanks for the laugh Pete your hilarious dude. Can't wait to see more from you. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review Alece O Love Pete this one was really quite funny he never disappoints Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Pete Davidson is in this Netflix special really unfunny and boring. It felt like three hours and not 49 minutes. Sometimes I got the feeling, he was unprepared and completely freestyled his jokes in a bad way. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Solid effort for a young comedian's first major standup special. This one was more about telling stories rather than just telling jokes like his old Comedy Central special SMD was. Pete has shown to be able to do both types of standup well. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the worst comedians I've ever watched. 1 out of 10 jokes land. Wow, how is this guy on a special? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member How in hell does this guy have a career? He lacks so much talent I'm thinking a trade school maybe? Stuart Heritage Guardian Alive From New York isn't quite the special that people wanted from Pete Davidson. But it's close. You hope that, when he records a second one, he'll be able to get closer still. Mar 10, 2020 Full Review Kathryn VanArendonk New York Magazine/Vulture [Davidson] may be stitching together all the pieces of his life and examining them for the odd, remarkable, tragic, difficult, unlikely events they are. But as an hour of comedy, the work is not finished. Mar 10, 2020 Full Review John Doyle Globe and Mail The material is clearly not entirely honed and the forthright anger and self-deprecation is as fascinating as the genuinely humorous material. Feb 28, 2020 Full Review Megan Reynolds The Muse/Jezebel A tight 49-minute show that lacks the tick-tock rhythm of a comedy special and feels more like a therapeutic happy hour. Mar 10, 2020 Full Review Morgan Leigh Davies The Daily Dot Alive from New York, is a deflating slog of a special that Davidson seems to know isn't much good, and to which the tentative audience isn't quite sure how to react. Rated: 0.5/5 Mar 10, 2020 Full Review Emma Baty Cosmopolitan There were some very high highs and some very low lows...the 49-minute special is a pretty wild ride. Like, yes, I was chuckling almost the whole time, but there were low points, friends... Mar 6, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
