She plays the kind of mom who starts out worrying about scraped knees and juice boxes, only to discover she's wandered into a mystery where every polite smile comes with a giant invisible asterisk. The movie understands that the creepiest villains aren't the ones hiding in abandoned warehouses, they're the ones waving from the house next door and asking if your kid wants to come over after school. It's a slow-burn thriller that rewards patience, steadily tightening the screws until every seemingly ordinary suburban moment feels suspicious. The tension builds naturally, and when the twists arrive, they land without feeling like they're trying too hard to outsmart the audience.
