The movie is about as bog standard an action film as you are going to find. There's an all-important flash drive McGuffin that everyone wants. A man's wife and or son is kidnapped, and he is thrust into the action in order to save his family. Throw in some car chases, some shoot ups and betrayals and you got your basic action movie. Even the name is super generic. "Point Blank". Go ahead look up how many other action movies have that same name. There are at least 8 other films with that exact title. And in the context of the story, I don't even know why it's called "Point Blank". But for what it is, it does all of these points pretty well, and at 86 mins, it doesn't waste much time. It just doesn't do anything to stand out from the others.

It's an easy going film with great excitement and a good plot. It's not going to win any awards, but it is a fun watch. It moves along nicely and I had a good time. Definitely worth a watch.

What is this? Action, drama, suspence, crime, comedy...? It tries to be all of this. Therefore it fails. Skip this one, as it will only make you confused.

I really enjoy the off-beat buddy cop style of movie this is going for. Anthony Mackie and frank Grillo have some really funny chemistry, but the movie falls flat sometimes
