Audience Member An enjoyable story in the continuation of the Pokemon series Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This wasn't my favorite pokemon movie. It has way to many characters to keep track of. There are two weird scenes: one scene that shows all power celebi traveling through time and saving crown city. Another one, right at the cilmax, shows Celebi, un weakend to weak to stand up to an opponent with no signs that he can do anything about Celebi. A good part is that they introduced a new pokemon sport which was really cool. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member This Isn't great but I will say it is really entertaining and it's not a film in theaters so for a film on tv it's good and deserves it's rating Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member With Phantom Ruler: Zoroark, I simply have to ask one question: Why? Why does Nintendo see fit to keep beating a long-dead film franchise with awful films every year? Why hasn't anything gotten better with this frachise since the first 3 movies? Why does everything the cover advertise get skimmed over? Why, oh WHY hasn't Nintendo seen fit to find a more likable lead than Ash Ketchum after 14 F@$#ing movies!? So, as you can probably tell, Phantom Ruler Zoroark is another monumental waste of celluloid like the last 8 films. This series is getting so desperate that they've resorted to using cover mascots from the 3rd and 4th films to fill up time. The newest Pokemon are lame as hell and are so weak that they don't really have the oomph that previous cover mascots did. The whole transforming shtick was already covered by Ditto back in the late 90's. The much promoted cover lions get maybe 5 minutes of screen time in a lame action sequence that goes nowhere. The plot is lousy, but that's to be expected, and the animation is as slipshod as ever, although it's less brain-cell killing than the television show. Nintendo, you've shown us through Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva that you are capable of producing great animated pictures. Either stop beating your moneymaker senseless or start trying a little harder, perhaps with a reboot of some sort? Well, too late, there's already 2 more movies coming out next year. Well, I guess it can't hurt to ask, right? OVERALL: 2.0/10 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Introducing new Pokemon for the oncoming 5th generation, Ruler of Illusions is a brilliant addition to the franchise. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent movie. Not quite as good as the Arceus one before it, but still good. Zoroark wasn't turned into a cheesy protagonist, the three legendary dogs got a shiny-form cameo fight, and the trolling of the villain at the end was actually a surprise. Some bad dialogue, but that's typical at this point. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
