Read the synopsis of Polar... you would be mistaken for thinking you were watching John Wick. Polar is the polar opposite to John Wick. In that John Wick is a great film and Polar is a bit of a mess.

Well there are two hours I'm never getting back. I'm going to assume the popcorn score was AI generated because this movie sticks. The pacing is too slow, parts of the story are unessasary, and it becomes needlessly violent for no reason just prior to the final act. Worst of all, it's really not original at all.

The way that Mads Mikkelson uses his elegance and his size to portray a monster in slumber awakened is purely delicious. There is a scene that I would not call a fight scene, rather I would call it a godlike thunder as he murders and murders and murders in a hallway. Gorgeous splatter. The locations are reminiscent of a serial killer film but the final chapter is made of one man and his sacrifice.
