Brian Costello Common Sense Media Some violence, teen drinking in drab horror movie. Rated: 1/5 Feb 28, 2020 Full Review William Bibbiani Bloody Disgusting So underdeveloped you'll want to shake it. Rated: 0.5/5 Sep 20, 2019 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a padded-out endeavor that can't quite justify a feature-length running time... Rated: 2/4 Aug 10, 2019 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com There's the whole Polaroid camera premise, which is unusual, but the rest of the film is a strictly paint-by-numbers affair, likely to bore seasoned genre admirers. Omar G Polaroid (2019), 3/5 stars rating. Hot Babes like Madelaine Petsch she was like Marione Crane or Tina Gray. Katie Steven, Priscilla Quintana and Kathryn Prescott the protagonist written like the shy Alice Johnson from A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 The Dream Master (1988) she which pictures of her friends put in the mirror. There is one of the group who The Creature murders his girlfriend and blames the protagonist like Mackinley from Final Destination 3 (2006) and dies in jail like Rod Lane from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). The plot was like A Nightmare on Elm Street with a killer who turns supernatural to take revenge after the death. It also resembles Ouija (2014) where Lin Shaye an old woman tricks the protagonist or Truth or Dare (2018) by Lucy Hale. The Creature was like Freddy Krueger, the murderous father, the Sheriff played by Mitch Pilegi knows the serial killer as Lieutenant Donald Thompson from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). In the end, the protagonist Bird saves the day at the cost of her ring and pinky fingers as a yakuza retribución or give in sacrifice like the films Hostel (2005), Sinister 2 (2015) and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) where the protagonists survive but lose their ring and pinky fingers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Carlos O I loved this movie, yall tripping if you think is trash ... LOVED IT Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review THE TONE SHOW U Friday the 13th was a TV show that ran from the late 80s to the early 90s, it was about the staff of Antique store that went out to collect haunted items that were dangerous in the world. Polaroid to me was like watching an extended episode of that series play out; now I for one enjoyed that series as a kid (probably shouldn't have been watching it as a kid) but though I like the idea of Polaroid, an old camera that is haunted it don't think they was enough meat to this story to make it an entire film. The pacing is quite slow and at times the film drags, it doesn't help that for being a creature feature, you never get a good look at the creature, it's a pretty dark film literally. The cast is sold and likable, you even have a drop in from Assistant Director Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) from the X-Files but it's not enough by that time in the film to save it. I thought Polaroid was okay, it could have benefited from some quicker pacing and actually showing what happens to the victims of the creature aside from a quick cutaway. I don't I would re-watch this film and if it's between Polaroid and and watching another Horror film I would probably watch something else. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review d m #Recommended 7/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/05/24 Full Review Shantelle K Don’t waste your time on this one! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review J K This movie was..OK. I would compare the plot of the movie in many ways to films we've seen before, particularly "The Ring" however replacing the cursed VCR tape with a cursed polaroid camera... However while this particular film had very good cinematography and lighting and decent scary movie camera moves, and even a relatively likable protagonist, overall what made this movie much less effective was thescript..i.e. the bad dialogue that these (decent) young actors had to deliver, along with some odd directing choices ...not even Mitch Pelegi of the original X Files, here playing a role of local sheriff, helped elevate this one. It was OK, but I think "just so so" as these type of films go Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
