Childhood friends Conner (Andy Samberg), Owen (Jorma Taccone) and Lawrence (Akiva Schaffer) found fame and fortune after forming the hip-hop group the Style Boyz. So I am going to stop you here. Watch it yourself and make your own judgement. I fell asleep in the first 15 minutes so I do NOT think it was as funny as most of the people I follow on Youtube say it is. I think it was Film threat that recommended this movie, so maybe look for a review or just watch it and report on it yourself.

I literally made an account to rave about this movie. I wish I would have seen this in the theaters when it came out. It is so smart, it had laughs from beginning to end. I was smiling ear to ear the entire time. I am familiar with Lonely Island, but never too interested like some of my friends were. But you don't have to be. Popstar is a well directed mock documentary that keeps the laughs coming. Most comedies waste their jokes in the first half. Being such a short film, they can maintain solid laughs throughout. I wanted to rewatch this washed up boy band movie the second it was over.

Synopsis
