It's not enough for Pound Of Flesh to be likable. Its existence isn't an affront to the God its characters keep talking about, but it's not exactly a reason for giving thanks, either.

Its script is terrible, its production values are weak, and there is a lackadaisical streak running through the film so overt that it borders on having contempt for its audience. Despite this, I enjoyed myself.

Its ok for a brainless watch. There is a farfetched recycled plotline with the wake up in a bathtub without your kidney trope. Basically this IS the movie Jean Claude is making at the beginning of 'JCVD' that makes him look back and lament upon his life choices. The movie is a little more retrospective than his usual stuff, but 95% of the movie is throwaway generic action flick.

Jean Claude wakes up in the bathtub without a kidney - like every horror tale from high school. And then...can't really remember. Just a bunch of driving around and Jean hitting people.
