In the 19th century, a mysterious plague turns the English countryside into a war zone. No one is safe as the dead come back to life to terrorize the land. Fate leads Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James), a master of martial arts and weaponry, to join forces with Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley), a handsome but arrogant gentleman. Excellent! This is really one very well, written pride and prejudice, variation. This this is not for Jane Austin purist . This is not the BBC pride and prejudice variation, which I consider one of the best, but it’s very entertaining. I love Mr. Darcy in this version, and he gives one of the best marriage proposals I’ve seen on TV. I give this movie an A.

To give this movie anything other than a five star I don’t understand. One of my absolute favorite movies. It’s absolutely a must watch! From the storyline to the casting to the acting, absolutely superb. Since the movie came out, Ive probably watched this movie at least 20 times. If you’re on the fence, watch it it’s a great movie

I thought this was going to be more of a comedy, but it really doesn't have that much. It's more like Pride and Prejudice as it is, plus the zombies, which don't have that great screen time; it's more of the known issues of the Bennett sisters but in this case are also trained warriors

Trasposizione leggera che, partendo dal romanzo da cui è tratta, concentra tutti i suoi sforzi nel tentare di unire nella breve durata di un film, tutte le dinamiche amorose che possono coinvolgere i personaggi (o almeno i protagonisti) e una serie di sequenze di azione con zombie dagli ottimi costumi ma non proprio centrali nella trama. Il risultato è un film sicuramente godibile che però finisce per non soddisfare realmente pochi spettatori; la differenza tra i due generi è molto ampia e non viene colmata, probabilmente la principale motivazione è la totale assenza di drammaticità che risulta artificiale e forzata; soprattutto perchè non supportata da un'ironia che avrebbe indirizzato la pellicola da un'altra parte. Il risultato finale è un film poco entusiasmante nonostante tutti i suoi sforzi e con un finale troppo epico per la scelta di restare in tema di commedia.
