Harrison Richlin IndieWire The documentary acts as an intimate study of what it means to serve others when it seems like the world is falling apart and to be a partner and mother at the same time. Rated: B Jun 26, 2025 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times “Prime Minister” is an essential political portrait in how it seeds optimism and concern, leaving you with hope that more Jacinda Arderns are in the wings ready to enshrine common sense, despite the risks. Jun 23, 2025 Full Review Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups There's something incredibly, wistfully sad about this sympathetic documentary charting the rise and fall of New Zealand's third female Prime Minister, Dame Jacinda Ardern. Rated: 4/5 Jun 13, 2025 Full Review Erik Childress Movie Madness Podcast Utz & Walshe manage to craft an intimate narrative of the highs and many lows of a political career so where you almost forget you are watching a documentary and drawn into Ardern’s life of doing her best for the people she has been asked to lead. Rated: 3.5/4 Jul 3, 2025 Full Review Stephen Silver The SS Ben Hecht A fine examination of a world leader, even if you don't wish for her to take over as leader as your own country. Jul 3, 2025 Full Review Sarah Vincent InBetweenDrafts If this documentary has irreplaceable, unique value, it’s the way that it illustrates an explosion of hostility against public women figures regardless of their demeanor. Any woman, even one as mild as Ardern, becomes an enemy Rated: 6/10 Jun 20, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Bob Its rare to get such a personal, behind the scenes look at a sitting head of state. The film explores her rise, election, pregnancy and being PM with an infant, covid, and other crises that defined her time in office. Genuine and heartfelt. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Carol P Excellent, all-around. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Stephen T helpful and informative perspective on a remarkable woman and leader. well told and moving. New Zealand, who i love, was, for a shining few years led by a matching leader. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/25 Full Review Tania M Terrible, can't recommend it. Self serving, narcissist and utter lies. Full of lies! We should know, we lived through it. She lead by fear and completely divided the country and we are still recovering! Thanks for nothing Jacinda. You are no dame. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/01/25 Full Review Carl S. Inspiring story that made me and my son cry. Perfect movie for Fathers Day!
