This movie is an absolute classic. As the grandfather says, it has romance, pirates adventure, Magic, revenge, and justice! Beautifully shot, the actors are great. The dialogue is witty – no reason not to love this movie.

Hey, this is my review on The Princess Bride. As a movie that is fairly old it doesn't look too bad in terms of cgi. It may have some harsh topics though including murder, suicide, and poison. I loved the plot in this movie. It had lots of twists and turns throughout the movie. The plot was great but I especially loved how it is given from a point of view where it was a grandpa reading to his grandson. My favorite character was Westley. Westley was the true love of the princess and he gave off hero vibes. The music in this movie was not very pronounced but gave a subtle addition to the movie.

Everyone has already said most of what there is to say about this movie: the loving spoof of at least three or four movie genres, the appeal across the generation gap (people who loved it as kids now love it as parents), the brilliant fencing scenes, the broad comedy when it's least expected, and the top-notch performances by everyone. So I'll use this space to say this: while you're enjoying everything else, also pay attention to Mark Knopffler's wonderful score. It features his melodies and his guitar-hero virtuosity at their lyrical best.
