Audience Member It's still the early days of Low Budget Pictures, but that doesn't make a film like Quest for the Egg Salad any different from it's other relative films from leader Chris Seaver and the rest of the LBP peeps. Writer, producer, director, actor Seaver definitely delivers one of his weaker efforts though in this Lord of the Rings knock-off where young Balfazar and partner Teenape go on a quest to retrieve the beloved Egg Salad, which is being held by evil goblins. At only an hour running time, Quest barely scratches the service of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, hell, it doesn't even scratch just one of the films. Instead, Seaver serves up his unique brand of raunchy humor mixed with terribly bad effects, acting, and filmmaking. While a lot would argue that all of their films resemble badly made home movies, they haven't a clue, especially if they've never attempted to make their own movies. There is a difference between Seaver's work today and 8 years ago. Believe me when I say Quest is DEFINITELY more of a home movie type of deal! A couple of names show up, namely Troma head Lloyd Kaufman (where, I have no clue), and underground scream queen Tina Krause (who shamelessly avoids showing us her huge tits in this outing). The best part? Probably the beginning as our hero Teenape is enjoying a wild blowjob from some chick until his roommate accidentally walks in, scaring the two and causing Teenape to ejaculate across the room into said roommates mouth. What does the roommate do? He snowballs the jizz into the chick's mouth! Ha, only in a Low Budget Pictures movie. Glad to see Seaver has progressed (sorta) over the years. I would only recommend this STRICTLY to fans of Seaver and LBP. They'll be the only ones who will "get it". Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
