Joe Lipsett Bloody Disgusting While Rabid Grannies can't quite replicate or sustain the high camp energy of Rami's or Lynn's films, it does share a similar madcap sensibility that, particularly early on, makes it a strong horror-comedy entry. Ricky R A fun B horror gem. Plenty of ridiculous gore and a pace that keeps you in it if you can see past all the "faults". Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review marco b Exactly what you'd expect from a Troma film. Bad acting, bad dubbing and terrible editing, but a classic because of the title and context. A demon inhabits the bodies of two kind rich old ladies, who then try and eat their family. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member There's a bit of lag in between the action in this Belgian oddity. But it's still a gonzo, gory good time. If you can get on board with the zero budget quality, and pitch black humor, it's a fun throwback to early Sam Raimi. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/17/20 Full Review Audience Member Aside from the gratuitous amount of gore and the eye dazzling special effects, there is really nothing special about this little Belgian gem. Children died, that was quite shocking consider how children had immunity at the time in horror films. There were some interesting deaths though, given its low budget, it is not too bad of a film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This Belgian horror movie actually had a lot of potential, in the same league as the original Evil Dead. What it lacks in explanation for why the main family's Matriarchs turn into ravenous vampiric cannibals the film makes up for in never being boring. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member The best thing about this movie is its title. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
