Joe Lipsett Bloody Disgusting While Rabid Grannies can't quite replicate or sustain the high camp energy of Rami's or Lynn's films, it does share a similar madcap sensibility that, particularly early on, makes it a strong horror-comedy entry. Brian T I picked this movie at random on TUBI, I knew nothing about the movie didn't watch a trailer or anything before hand. The concept of this movie sounds fun and campy, hell the effects are pretty damn fun for a movie of it's time, but for me. I just didn't enjoy this movie nearly as much as I wanted to. Just something about it seems off to me, oh yeah...The voice dubbing killed it for me. I can get around some dubbing but this one just wasn't it for me. You get right into the action pretty quickly with this one, but you never have any connections to any of the characters, I personally didn't care who died nor when they died. The movie is called "Rabid Grannies" but I heard them called "aunts" on multiple occasions from multiple characters? The only enjoyable part of this movie is seeing some of the kills and the practical effects/monster concepts other then that. I highly doubt I will ever have a need nor a urge to watch this one again. 🎃🔪Rotten Reviews Podcast🔪🎃 (Typhenstein) ✌️ Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/30/25 Full Review Tyler B An example of a good idea you could have but then realizing it wasn’t until it’s too late. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/01/25 Full Review Tom T Have you ever encountered a flesh eating Portuguese water dog? I doubt it. Early practical Fx Troma fun. Definitely worth a watch if your into 80’s coke fueled nonsense. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review john k Rabid-tabulous!!!! The academy failed to recognize its greatness, but this is our generation’s Citizen Kane!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/29/24 Full Review Ricky R A fun B horror gem. Plenty of ridiculous gore and a pace that keeps you in it if you can see past all the "faults". Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Audience Member There's a bit of lag in between the action in this Belgian oddity. But it's still a gonzo, gory good time. If you can get on board with the zero budget quality, and pitch black humor, it's a fun throwback to early Sam Raimi. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/17/20 Full Review Read all reviews
