Michael T A gem of a film with a humorous punch of reality. Ramona, honestly and humorously faces head-on, her regret, loss of one’s artistic self & success, rivalry and more, when life/family get in the way. Well acted with lots of familiar character actors. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/25 Full Review Kate S Great directing! Great writing! Great acting! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/25 Full Review Sam H Romona at midlife is very well-crafted. The directing and acting are fabulous. The screenplay is lean and full of wonderful dialogue. The characters are likable and relatable. I once heard Quentin Tarantino say that he could make any low-budget movie look like a much more expensive one. That's what happened with this movie. Well done, Brooke Berman! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/25 Full Review Dan D I really love this film. It is so great to see a film about women where they are not competing for some job, or some love interest. Performances were great and the story is compelling. At times it felt like it could take more time in dealing with the "midlife crisis." Also incredible to have a film about a woman's midlife crisis. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Pamela S Ramona at Midlife is a very accurate account of what woman go through in midlife. The cast was amazing. The movie was amazing. I do wish it would have been a bit longer. The last 30 minutes seem to be a bit rushed. Would have loved more! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review Ash W Brooke Berman’s Ramona at Midlife is an honest & relatable portrait of a fearlessly authentic 45-year-old woman. Yvonne Woods delivers a powerhouse performance as Ramona, who is blindsided when she learns that her life has become the subject of a creepy-but-charismatic filmmaker’s current project. Confronting the wreckage of past friendships and a nagging sense that she’s lost herself and her dreams along the way, Ramona embarks on a painful & liberating journey of self-discovery. Being 45 years old myself, Ramona’s struggle seems to be based on MY own, providing gut-wrenching déja-vus. This story is rendered with sharp writing and raw emotional depth. Yvonne Woods is nothing short of brilliant in the role, bringing a haunting depth to Ramona. Her performance is layered with wit and a fierce inner strength. Berman’s script doesn’t shy away from the messy, unglamorous realities of midlife, and Woods delivers it with irresistible charm and a Brené-Brownesque vulnerability. More than just a midlife crisis movie, Ramona at Midlife is a meditation on reinvention, resilience, and the power of reclaiming one’s voice. An artist struggling to find their way back to their craft with constant unapologetic authenticity. An absolute must-watch! <3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
