In remote Western Australia, two estranged brothers, Colin (Sam Neill) and Les (Michael Caton), are at war. Raising separate flocks of sheep descended from their family's prized bloodline, the two men work side by side yet are worlds apart. When Les's prize ram is diagnosed with a rare and lethal illness, authorities order a purge of every sheep in the valley. While Colin attempts to stealthily outwit the powers that be, Les opts for angry defiance. But can the warring brothers set aside their differences and have a chance to reunite their family, save their herd, and bring their community back together?

This was such a good movie with great acting and storyline. I prefer action or sci-fi but I can appreciate a good drama/comedy for a change of pace. It's definitely worth the watch.

Interesting on so many levels, this film portrays 2 brothers who haven't spoken in 40 years. Well acted and written. Love being slowly given hints as to what their divide was related to. And the very best ending.

Rams – An Aussie Re-run This Australian remake of a prizewinning 2015 Icelandic film classic (of the same name) makes for a pleasing watch but goes for a lighter approach than its famous predecessor. The bright Western Australian countryside is well utilized as against the bleak, frosty, windblown setting of the dramatic original. Performances are uniformly fine with all bringing this well-made, sorrowful tale, of family dysfunction to a satisfying (albeit upbeat) close. Antony Partos provides the music score.
