David d Entertaining comedy and very easy to watch & relax ! In every episode a funny new idea is worked out and nicely portrayed.... A Polish-born American woman comes to a small Polish village and upsets the local yokels with her smartness and pretty .appearance. A lot of archetypes are well acted: the conniving mayor who wanted to get the house the American inherited, his brother the local priest (both cannot stand the sight of eachother, while they are acted by the same actor ;-) , the local drunkards, the gossiping women... the halfwit policeman, the bright kid building and flying a model plane and even a missile, of course hitting several local hotspots, and some endearing and funny fellas and girls in between.. of the latter, especially the interaction between Lucy (the American girl) and her neighbor mr. Kusy is nice to see. And there is the mayor's rebellious daughter, taking on a new persona weekly or monthly - this young actress must have had a ball dressing up.
