sean f Brilliant movie. These people who hate it are rich old men without a sense of humour. They resent Sandra Locke for having had the opportunity to make a film, clearly an extremely funny talented woman. The characters are hilarious. No one is the least bit concerned with how a ratboy came to exist and they're all tryna figure out how to make money out of him. It'll be a refreshing watch. Really feels like a precursor to classic Simpsons. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review anthony t On HBO in the 80's you had to watch this 10x. Weird. Probably paved the way for some other not good films Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It's "Howard the Ratboy" without the stupid ending like 1986's "Howard the Duck" as this film basically uses the same predictable premise except this time it's a lonely single woman discovering a boy like rat instead of a duck. Of course, the ratboy teaches the woman about love and life. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member What a boring turd of a movie and I only gave it a star and a half because of the great make up job and some of the cameo's by some unknown actors at the time.Actors like Bill Mahr, john Lovitz, john witherspoon,Robert Townsend and Louis Anderson made early film appearances in this festering asshole of a motion picture. I guess when you're Clint Eastwoods girlfriend all it takes is tickling ole Clints taint with your tongue to get your own director gig. I'm guessing that's how Sandra Locke got this because if you look at her filmography almost all of her stuff has something to do with Clint Eastwood which says to me that she couldn't get anything on her own. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is very boring! Don't waste your time if you ever happen to stumble upon a copy, Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Quite possibly the worst movie of all time. Sandra Locke is atrocious! Keith Phipps The Dissolve The film gestures at whimsy and heartbreak while making the broadest possible comments about Hollywood and how the machinery of fame grinds up the innocent. Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 26, 2015 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Ratboy is a perplexing movie about a perplexing hero - a little creature that is half human and half rat and combines all of the least interesting characteristics of both species.
