Monica Castillo Remezcla On its own, Red 11 is a functioning B-movie, outfitted with strange characters, inexperienced actors, a busy plot and a DIY aesthetic that makes certain aspects look charmingly makeshift. Mar 19, 2019 Full Review John DeFore Hollywood Reporter The biggest lesson Red 11 teaches is an inadvertent one: Even a scrappy, seat-of-the-pants production needs a good script. Mar 14, 2019 Full Review Peter Debruge Variety "Red 11" may be rotten (worse even than "Machete Kills" or "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D"), but it's meant to be studied, not watched, and the fact that it cuts together at all shows just how resourceful Rodriguez is. Mar 13, 2019 Full Review Amanda Sink The Hollywood Outsider An engagingly ridiculous and fun horror flick, Red 11 is thankfully not a tough pill to swallow. Rated: 6.5/10 Apr 10, 2019 Full Review Marisa Mirabal Birth.Movies.Death. RED 11 is an inspiring blueprint for low-budget and aspiring filmmakers. A family endeavor and a loving lesson in cinema, RED 11 not only passes the test, but kindly shares its answers, as well. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 20, 2019 Full Review Rodrigo Perez The Playlist Red 11 isn't revolutionary, but it's a manic, surreal journey into the creative process of Robert Rodriguez that serves as a nice allegory to the director's own observations on filmmaking. Steve D I didn't end up caring at all. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Dale P Not what I expected, amazing results for such a tiny budget, pretty entertaining Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Audience Member Bad acting . Simple plot . I know it’s low budget so whatever but not very good 1.6 Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Silly, ameteurish, duh. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This is such a ridiculously entertaining low budget film. It truly has everything you need in a thriller movie and unlike most films doesn't try to just drown the plot out in bloody scenes to "make it scary". Definitely recommend. The only thing I disliked was the first 2 minutes was an advertisement for the producers company, which made me almost turn it off before it even began, but I'm happy I didn't. It was advertised as a low budget film, and it is, but it was very well done for a low budget. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
