Red River Road weaves conspiracy and paranoia into what could easily be a hysterical 89 minutes of door rattling, jump scares, and yelling. Instead, there are measured steps with increasing mistrust and fear that feel as rational as they are terrifying.

The movie takes a premise that everyone is ready to move past and makes it a mostly compelling watch. There are some missteps along the way but nothing will cause anyone to turn away. Red River Road is one of the most unique pandemic movies to be found.

Knocked me down and dragged me out! This movie is a nod to the isolation of the pandemic, as well as an luckily timed warning about artificial intelligence and the perilous quest to understand one's reality. This film did so much with so little. See it if you dare. Do you know what day this is?
