P S Great fun. An absolute must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review david f An odd, interesting film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A harsh, dark and unsettling film, that's hard to sit through. It features three central characters, all making horrible decisions, but are still sympathetic because of how human they are. It's quite grim and is the equivalent of a gut-punch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/20 Full Review Audience Member It's a pretty good revenge flick that doesn't break the mold, but goes about telling it's story in a very effective manner. The acting is really good which helps the movie go along way. And it's a layered revenge story that's definitely not as simple as someone gets wrong and then ends up getting their revenge... this story has 2 sides to it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Mani R I think if you feel compassion about the girl and the psychopath, you have some issue on your mind and brain. Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard It displays some talent but it's difficult to see precisely where it is going. Rated: 2/5 Sep 30, 2011 Full Review Xan Brooks Guardian Dim the lights and raise the heat for this sputtering Texas noir, liberally spiced with strip-malls and pool-halls. Rated: 2/5 Sep 29, 2011 Full Review Nigel Andrews Financial Times Everyone comes out of the story badly, not least the audience. We should have felt shaken and stirred; we merely feel poured over rocks and impaled with cocktail sticks. Rated: 1/5 Sep 29, 2011 Full Review Ard Vijn ScreenAnarchy The real revelations here are Amanda Fuller as a major talent to keep in sight, and Noah Taylor who through his role as Nate summersaults straight into my shortlist of favorite actors. Rated: 5/5 Sep 23, 2019 Full Review Joseph Walsh CineVue A disappointing film that offers so much in the beginning, yet leaves you deeply unsatisfied by its dénouement. Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Sloan Freer Radio Times Restraint pays dividends for British writer/director Simon Rumley in this devastating and demanding revenge tragedy set in Austin, Texas.
