Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the son of the President of the United States (Uma Thurman), and Britain's Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) have a lot in common: Stunning good looks, undeniable charisma, international popularity... and a total disdain for each other. Separated by an ocean, their long-running feud hasn't really been an issue, until a disastrous--and very public--altercation at a royal event becomes tabloid fodder, driving a potential wedge in U.S./British relations at the worst possible time. Going into damage-control mode, their families and handlers force the two rivals into a staged "truce." But as Alex and Henry's icy relationship unexpectedly begins to thaw into a tentative friendship, the friction that existed between them sparks something deeper than they ever expected. Based on Casey McQuiston's critically acclaimed New York Times best seller, Red, White & Royal Blue marks the feature film writing and directing debut of Tony Award-winning playwright Matthew López (The Inheritance).

Udita Jhunjhunwala Livemint If Red, White & Royal Blue sounds inelegant and feeble, it is. Jun 24, 2024 Full Review Caroline Siede Girl Culture (Substack) Was this a great movie? No. Did I have fun watching it? Sure! Sep 2, 2023 Full Review Andrea Thompson Chicago Reader This groundbreaking love story deserved better. Aug 26, 2023 Full Review Francesca Steele iNews.co.uk Mostly, it’s just a lot of fun, with a romance you can root for and a prince whose fairy tale ending feels satisfyingly uncomplicated. Rated: 4/5 Dec 11, 2024 Full Review Clotilde Chinnici Loud and Clear Reviews Most importantly, the movie was able to capture what I loved the most about Red, White & Royal Blue: the fact that it is not just another romantic comedy. Rated: 4/5 Sep 15, 2024 Full Review Romey Norton Film Focus Online Red, White and Royal Blue as a whole is two hours of cheesy relationship drama, and certainly is made for those audiences who love tacky story-lines with no historical accuracy. Great acting. Great script. AMAZING overall, go watch it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/29/24 Full Review Audience Member It's an incredible movie, very fun to see; the acting is golden. Nicholas and Taylor gave this movie what everyone who read the book wanted (YES, IT HAS A BOOK!! READ IT!!!). I'm so happy we are getting a sequel because we deserve it, watch it!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/26/24 Full Review C M Working on a trade deal with the royal family??? Hahaha this is how ignorant this movie is. Kinda fun, but pretty damn stupid. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/23/24 Full Review Andrea K I was recommended this movie, and it did not disappoint. I love seeing a modern twist, and the fight for love. There were some hilarious moments, that really had me laughing. I must say it was a bit long, and I multiple times I thought it was the end. But definitely worth a watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Astrid K I read the book a couple of years ago, and could only remember the film's main points, but oh how it did not disappoint. The film manages to create many of the same feelings as when I read the book, and it really honors the craftmanship of the book. Feelings of hope for young love, the anguish of having others dictate your life, and the dream of living life as your true self are only a brief description of how I feel right now. The film contains lots of humor and you find yourself giggling over the cuteness of the actors. It's really worth a recommendation - and who doesn't love the drama between the USA and Britain?
