76% 116 Reviews Tomatometer 93% 2,500+ Ratings Audience Score Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the son of the President of the United States (Uma Thurman), and Britain's Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) have a lot in common: Stunning good looks, undeniable charisma, international popularity... and a total disdain for each other. Separated by an ocean, their long-running feud hasn't really been an issue, until a disastrous--and very public--altercation at a royal event becomes tabloid fodder, driving a potential wedge in U.S./British relations at the worst possible time. Going into damage-control mode, their families and handlers force the two rivals into a staged "truce." But as Alex and Henry's icy relationship unexpectedly begins to thaw into a tentative friendship, the friction that existed between them sparks something deeper than they ever expected. Based on Casey McQuiston's critically acclaimed New York Times best seller, Red, White & Royal Blue marks the feature film writing and directing debut of Tony Award-winning playwright Matthew López (The Inheritance). Critics Consensus

Amusing and endearing, Red, White & Royal Blue is a cheerfully formulaic rom-com that embraces inclusion without falling back on stereotypes.

Briana B It's corny, sweet, will break your heart and make you believe in love. Definitely a rom-com must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Tânia R What an amazing example of great chemistry and perfomance by the leads! I love this movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Kerstin G The film leaves you with an absolute feeling of well-being. I can watch it again and again. It is a film about love and even though the film is different in many ways than the equally great book, the film has become independent and lives above all from the great chemistry of the two main actors. I want to see more of it. Nevertheless, Nicholas Galitzine in particular is perhaps a little underwhelmed by always playing the handsome prince. Many more challenges await them. He is an incredibly good, expressive actor, which he recently demonstrated in "Mary and George". Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/02/24 Full Review James R Yes its a romcom but there is more to it. Great chemistry between the leads. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Benéné Kiss J Szuper film, mely bebizonyitja, hogy a szerelem az szerelem... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review Thia M So sweet and fun and earnest. Hits expected romcom beats, but somehow is fresh and charming. I'm not a romcom girlie, since the tropes are typically stale and boring, but this is such an exception. I've enthusiastically rewatched this three times. Caroline Siede Girl Culture (Substack) Was this a great movie? No. Did I have fun watching it? Sure! Sep 2, 2023 Full Review Andrea Thompson Chicago Reader This groundbreaking love story deserved better. Aug 26, 2023 Full Review Christy Lemire Breakfast All Day I had a big smile on my face for quite a lot of it. Aug 18, 2023 Full Review Susan Granger SSG Syndicate There's a charming contemporary LGBTQ+ twist to this snappy slapstick romantic comedy that's also sweetly sappy. Rated: 7/10 Sep 26, 2023 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Requiring an outrageous suspension of disbelief in its contrived fairy-tale premise, this romantic comedy can’t muster enough laughs or heart to pay off any emotional investment. Sep 15, 2023 Full Review Brandon Judell Brandon Judell (Medium) Imagine the Hallmark Channel making soft-core porn and you pretty much have it: yearning, orgasmic faces, but no crotch shots. The acting varies in believability as does the script, but the leads are beautiful, especially when dancing among nude statuary. Sep 11, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
