Europe 2041. After stabilizing the first refugee crisis, accompanied by a number of terrorist attacks, all the citizens of the Free European Federation got a new constitutional law that guarantees "One whole life to live". With a new technology, everyone has the right of recovery in case of an unnatural death. In this society, "absolute" murder is nearly impossible. Ambitious detective Emma Trochinowska (27) has to solve a murder of a married couple. But the restoration team was able to bring only one of them back to life. Together they try to hunt down the murderer and find out if the second chance, which now is available to everyone, isn't just another easily exploitable instrument that tries to solve the consequences instead of the cause itself.

Phil Hoad Guardian Restore Point should stave off cyber-noir cravings for a couple of hours. It’s a competent copy but unmistakably synthetic. Rated: 3/5 Mar 26, 2024 Full Review Robert Daniels RogerEbert.com Hloz’s world-building—in a film that’s a cross between “Minority Report” and “Blade Runner”—is gripping. Jul 8, 2023 Full Review Guy Lodge Variety This is a notably ambitious and auspiciously well-realized first feature for Hloz: the kind that appears to be flaunting his capabilities for even bigger international and Hollywood assignments. Jul 7, 2023 Full Review Steve Morrissey Radio Times Mohylova, best known as a stage actor, is fiercely on point as the ballsy, loner inspector, and her casting is just one of the things that director Robert Hloz can boast about, along with a limited budget used effectively. Rated: 3/5 Sep 24, 2024 Full Review Kevin Wight The Wee Review Sci-fi detective story with worldbuilding more impressive than its narrative ambition Rated: 3 Jun 2, 2024 Full Review Ryan Devir Film Threat A film that has a consistent tone and doesn’t sacrifice it for a cheap laugh. Avindu G A future so advance that Russian roulette is a safe pastime. Bod Obnovy is uniquely modest about the future it imagines with adequate amount of future marvels at display. A decent thriller when the story alone is considered. Neat visual effects and audio effects. Performances were excellent by the whole cast. From it's political view on profit making to a murder out of jealousy this story unwinds a web of incidents that's more than enough to keep the audience engaged. A good script that reveals the human nature through all futuristic setups. While many of it's genre ends up straying too far or falling short Bod Obnovy takes us on a safe satisfying journey to future. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/16/24 Full Review Read all reviews
