Synopsis
This documentary chronicles the lives of the German-Jewish Wolf brothers, who started a popular band at the turn of the century. The trio, known as Gebruder Wolf, became the hit of Hamburg -- most notably with their song "Tuedelband," which remains the anthem of the city's football team to this day -- yet they still found themselves unable to escape victimization when the Nazi party rose to power in the 1930s. Their descendant, American Dan Wolf, returns to Germany to trace their story.
