Audience Member Mentally palatable and with a lead and cast that do not overact, that makes it watchable and doesn't compel thinking that leads to overthinking. It does start losing direction as it layers plotline upon plotline, and it doesn't make the most sense in the end. Movie sets a very foreboding mood that borders on dragging. The mood reminds me of Mr. Nobody but not done as well. I watched using VLC player and I was tempted to speed up the movie by 8% which I do on rare occasions when a movie is dragging. Acting is very hit or miss for the lead; I don't know if it's his fault or the director's misguidance, maybe both. You can tell the story is very solid, very intelligent but the execution is hit or miss. Even though it's a low budget production luckily the story doesn't call for large purse strings. The sound track is tasteful but there are times when the dialog is muted, usually when riding in a vehicle and they didn't have the budget to reshoot or fix in the mix. The story is top notch and calls for A list actors and director. Rating this movie as 2 1/2 is not accurate, more like it ranged between 1 1/2 and 4.
