Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online ... a solid crime drama that presents an alternative to the typical American gangster film often about a white man wreaking havoc. Rated: A- Sep 1, 2017 Full Review Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times The representation of Asian American men as hot-blooded toughies in the film does put a dent in the omnipresent nerdy eunuch stereotype and the model-minority myth. Dec 23, 2014 Full Review Roger Moore Tribune News Service Violent, generic, not awful, but nothing more than that. Rated: 2/4 Oct 30, 2014 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com While the Revenge of the Green Dragons may recall a particular time period, frenetic visuals, impaired screenplay, and stilted performances distract at every turn. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 6, 2019 Full Review Andrew Daley One Room With A View Green Dragons is a top notch film - it was just released by the wrong producer. Rated: 3/5 May 17, 2019 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk Revenge boasts Martin Scorsese as an executive producer (and it really does boast - Scorsese's is the first name we see), but the clich-ridden narrative and patchy acting prevent the film from being Chinatown's answer to Goodfellas. michael k Halfway through I just wonder how scorcese even financed this movie. There's no way he read the script or watched this and thought it was even halfway decent. So many filming cliches. So many corny lines. Just about every scene is 30 seconds too long. We don't need slow mo or a still of scene every shot. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It's refreshing to get Asian representation in a mob flick, at least in North American film. But it's way too cliche and by-the-numbers to leave any lasting impression. It's okay, but most of the characters are pretty unlikeable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/04/20 Full Review Audience Member Hard to watch, but must. Excellent. Very under-rated. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent film. Good plot. Knowing it roots in fact helps. I wouldnt rave about it to everyone I know, but I never once felt like it was dragging or slow. I liked it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member They stole everything from past mafia films. still entertaining for some reasons.
