Aaron C I am a big fan of New Grass Revival, and as a fan I found this documentary enjoyable. But as a film, the presentation falls flat. The organization is all over the place with no clear theme, direction, or message. Furthermore, the film does not provide enough context for audiences outside of the bluegrass genre. Which is kind of important, considering that one of the film's final points was how much Sam Bush has impacted music as a whole outside of bluegrass (a point that is very weakly proven and isn't established well enough).
