But he chose his stunt life over his family and his wife divorced him and he very rarely saw his daughter. Years later Lao Luo is out of work, in debt, and living alone in an old movie set with his stunt horse Red Hare. But when lawyers show up threatening to take away his beloved horse, Lao turns to his daughter (Xiaobao) for help. "We have the right to secure any and all of LM's property for auction, including your horse." - Lawyer Xiaobao reluctantly agrees to help her Dad save his horse from being auctioned, but not just for him, for Red Hare. Ride On is a story about a retired old-school stunt man and his stunt horse. Yes this movie is a reflection of Jackie Chan's life but the story is really just about a man and his beloved horse. I love the awesome classic Jackie Chan fights, but this film is more story driven and focuses on Lao's relationship with his daughter. Jackie Chan gives us a brilliant acting performance as a father trying to reconcile with his daughter he doesn't even know.... And I really like Ride On. It is a fun and clean family film with good acting, action, comedy, and a touch of the classic Jackie Chan martial arts.
