Audience Member Pretty good by TV movie standards. Gripping and raw plot that is, unfortunately, relatable for some people. The biggest draw is definitely seeing Bette Davis and James Stewart play an elderly married couple. They plan on killing themselves after Davis' character is diagnosed with cancer. The film deals with their daughter, played by Melinda Dillon, trying to come to terms with their decision, while having a strained relationship with her mother. Well-acted, though a little dramatic at times. Watching 74 year old Jimmy Stewart was definitely the highlight of my week. Watch if you're a big fan of the stars, which is most likely the only reason you've ever heard of this movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member TV MOVIE **** Well written, acted and directed film starring Bette Davis and James Stewart. Shot in and around Santa Monica with a great score by Brad Fiedel. HBO 11/21/1983 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Two giants of the screen in their only appearance together. The script doesn't do them justice although it deals with an important subject and does so without a great deal of sensationalism. The supporting cast is good but are all left in the dust by Davis and Stewart, they are fine throughout but their final couple of scenes are so masterfully done and moving as to be unforgettable.
