Q.V. Hough Vague Visages Risen wont fare well with impatient streamers. Writer-director Eddie Arya should be applauded for his creative ambition, but even the most forward-thinking filmmakers need strong performances to sell their product. Feb 18, 2022 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT The movie is flawed, but there is a lot of promise here. The final act and twist are creative and mostly make up for the lackluster moments. Aug 21, 2021 Full Review Peter Sobczynski eFilmCritic.com Considering the ambitious nature of the story, Risen deserves some points for at least trying to do something different and if it is ultimately a miss in the end, at least it is a near-miss. Aug 20, 2021 Full Review Michael J. Casey Michael J. Cinema A low-budged alien invasion movie that sometimes looks better than low-budget and sometimes doesn't. Michael P Slow, boring, unlike able characters, poor dialogue, I mean do you need more reasons to avoid this movie? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Simona C Too slow movie that does not create suspnce but just boredom. Not appealing protagonist or cast. nice idea but not sufficient Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/22/24 Full Review Alessandro s If you happen to be a fan of sci-fi, especially involving extraterrestrial encounters, then I strongly recommend you to absolutely avoid this film like the bubonic plague. The premise and introduction really intrigued me, then it fell into one of the most boring, dull and sterile films I have seen in the last 10 years. Just look for something else. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/03/24 Full Review Nathan M Just watch the room, then watch arrival. You'll get this film between the two, and have avoided it completely. You're welcome. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Steven W This is movie is bad, but in such weird ways it is almost worth watching just to marvel at the shocking shifts in production quality and incoherent tone, all centered around perhaps the most uncharismatic lead performance I have ever seen. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review Nick W Terrible, the pacing was slow, the characters were awkward, the dialog terrible. The lead character seemed more disinterested in what was happening than me. Absolute waste of time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/08/24 Full Review Read all reviews
