Walter V. Addiego San Francisco Chronicle A lot of what takes place in "Roadie" feels overly familiar, and the film could have been a wallow in pathos except for the performances, especially that of Eldard. Rated: 3/4 Feb 23, 2012 Full Review Rafer Guzman Newsday The hugely sympathetic Eldard ("Super 8") gives this slim movie a real, beating heart. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 20, 2012 Full Review Jason Bailey DVDTalk.com The raw ingredients are promising, but the plodding script and Cuesta's lead-footed direction prevent it from going much of anywhere, including the viewer's memory. Jan 7, 2012 Full Review Amie Simon Three Imaginary Girls A great, well-written character piece. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews What makes this uneven film rock, is hearing music from groups like the legendary local rockers the Good Rats. Rated: C+ Oct 5, 2015 Full Review Dave White Movies.com Eldard makes you feel for this broken-down rock and roll creep. That feeling might be that he needs a good slap in the face, but Eldard doesn't want to be loved here and he doesn't flinch in the process. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 5, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Isaiah Y Decent acting but lackluster script that gets better towards the end Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/21 Full Review Audience Member Eldard brings a lot to the title character, a very compelling performance. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Meandering character study has its moments and some fine acting from the ensemble. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Ron Eldard, Jill Hennessy, and Bobby Cannavale's performances are the best reason to check out this film. They shine here. The film kind of feels like a stage play. The film does have some great music in the film. Lois Smith and David Margulies also offer solid supporting work here. My problem with the film was the pacing, which was off here. The film begins really well and takes off, then slows down and then gets back on, and then slows down. If they would have fixed the pacing, then it would have been a much better film. Still the film is worth checking out, especially for the performance. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty funny. No big plot to it. Just funny. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member At least they played some Blue Oyster Cult. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
