Roger Moore Movie Nation It’s all strictly formula, with a dash of wit here and a fun classic car chase there. Rated: 2/4 Nov 17, 2022 Full Review John Sooja Common Sense Media Put simply, there's nothing surprising about this story, nothing surprising about the action, the plot, how relationships turn out, and so on. Rated: 3/5 Nov 2, 2022 Full Review John Serba Decider A quick 94 minutes of mostly disposable escapism that tosses anachronism around like Tarantino and deploys flippant comedy like Waititi, and is perfectly consumable even if it doesn’t stick to your ribs. Oct 27, 2022 Full Review Andy Punter Ready Steady Cut What this movie has got going for it is pace; it moves so quickly through its gears that you may not have time to pause and notice just how baggy much of the story is. frigobar01 Really liked this movie. Juggles serious and funny atmosphere in a masterful way, while the soundtracks by Matilda De Angelis are just perfect. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/20/23 Full Review Pat S I loved it....finally a war movie that was real and it wasn't....fun and serious....romantic but not raunchy....guns with little gore....war movies are very hard to enjoy when they are so real....but this one, even when the good guys were dying was a "feel good" thing!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/25/23 Full Review rhinohouse Superb mixture of the original "Italian Job" with Michael Caine, the original "Oceans 11" with The Rat Pack, later Ocean's sequels, Spaghetti Westerns. It's got Italian comedy, drama, adventure, Italian romance, explosions, Italian slapstick and a ticklingly seductive soundtrack with The Rolling Stones "Paint It Black" weaving an intricate web throughout. And when the sexy, gorgeous Matilda De Angelis sings "Paint It Black" in the intro, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. A wonderful, fun, sexy movie with a bit of a history lesson on the waning days of WW II in Mussolini's Italian Blackshirt Italy. I loved it & watched it twice...
