jodie b wow, dont know where to start. so many plot holes for one. but the thing that got ME the most, is that a barrel horse is supposed to be fast and furious. they are the drift cars along with roping/cutters of the horse world. how did she place third when her horse never left "2nd gear" walk - lope - gallop - run. that horse never went fast enough to place for a 3 year old baby riding it. much less a teen category. a run should take like 16 seconds ish - hers were like 90 seconds! this just irked me and i cant be elsa and let it go.. if you know ANYTHING about the rodeo, DONT WATCH> YOU WILL JUST BE ANNOYED> i agree with others, if you DO watch have liquor, take a shot every time something doesnt make sense.hopefully.... you WONT remember this atrocity. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/10/25 Full Review Audience Member Kevin Sorbo made this movie tolerable. Overall bad acting by the majority of the cast. This is a great movie to make fun off while watching. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Simply one of the best motion pictures I've ever seen. Keeble Flan Dorter's work on music and sound is unparalleled, and his brilliance shines through as ever in this film. George Clooney's cameo as Gabe, the drunken (and tauntingly flatulent!) nerf herder is an unexpected delight. Rodeo Girl presses and challenges gender boundaries and conceptions more so than other classics in this genre, like Herbie the Love Bug and Rob Schneider's magnum opus, The Hot Chick. Kevin Sorbo's performance as the rodeo girl's father will leave you in tears and asking "where's my horsey dad?". The climax, when the prize-winning horse is tragically smashed to smithereens by a collapsing World War One-era dirigible, I cried so hard that I so literally pooped my pants. It took WEEKS to get all of the poop chunks out of the fabric. I know that my guests know that something isn't right about the couch, but what can I do? I asked my stupid boss for a raise to get a poop-less couch and he just told me it's fine and not to worry about it. Rodeo Girl changed my life. For example, I no longer trap and burn small animals in the alley behind my apartment on weekends. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member So I've never reviewed a movie before but this one really blew me out of the water so I thought i'd give it a shot. All of the others who said this was a bad production aren't kidding. I was amazed at the low quality of the film itself but also some b-roll made no sense at all. Besides that, this girl is supposed to be going to Michigan for the SUMMER. If you weren't aware people typically don't have to shuffle through a few inches of fallen leaves in a long sleeve shirt and jeans all summer. That seems like a scene that perhaps would take place in the fall, but nope not for this movie. Also I haven't noticed anyone pointing out the issue of the star horse of the movie, "lass" being called the incorrect pronouns multiple times throughout the film. I truly am not sure if this horse is a female or male at this point. I can also agree with other reviews about unlikelyhood of a horse trained for hunter/jumper to be able to make such a quick turn around and do barrels. There were definitely a lot of plot holes in this productions but it perhaps would be a fun movie to watch with your friends as a drinking game like "take a shot every time something makes no sense at all" or something like that. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I signed up for a R.T. account because of this "movie." The lighting, the acting, the whiny protagonist, the young men wearing mom jeans, and plot all give me hope that anyone can have their movie made. At some point, I mentioned to my daughter that this movie looks like it had been shot on an iPhone; her response: "no way, my iPhone takes better video than that!" That being said, my 11 y.o. enjoyed this movie (I'm now questioning my parenting - thanks Rodeo Girl.) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Not that great a movie. Was lacking something. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
