S. C It got some good parts but many bad ones. I was just waiting for it to end at some points. This movie from a director I'm usually impressed by unfortunately bored me a lot with it's meaningless sequences and multiple plotlines. The editing and cinematography makes it interesting enough to keep watching, most of the time. The eerieness of the horror helps too. It's creative, it's somewhat interesting but it's just alright. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/08/23 Full Review Audience Member thumbs up for Miki Nakatani. (as always) other than her acting, nothing notable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This has got to be on the list of my least favourable J-Horror movies, and believe me there aren't many of them. The plot was fine, but I didn't expect the ending to be THAT bad. Pure nonsense. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Mittelmäßiges Horror-Mystery-Liebes-Drama aus Japan, das zwar schön gefilmt ist aber auch viele viele Längen aufzuweise hat. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Is it scary? Well if you are of very sensitive disposition. I would say that it is atmospheric, mesmerising and macabre; and ends up in a place quite different to where it starts out. It is a difficult film to classify. The film is full of his various trademarks, including awkward tonal shifts mid movie, and manipulation of perception and reality, but it works, though you might not think so at first.
