Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Jauh sebelum kita mengenal Romeo Julietnya Shakerpeare, telah ada juga sebuah roman dengan tipikal cerita yang sangat mirip plotnya dengan Romeo Juliet, Tristan & Isolde.. Cerita ini juga berakhir tragis seperti halnya plot dalam Romeo Juliet. Sutradara asal Brazil Guel Arraes (A Dog's Will, 2001) mengadaptasi bebas cerita itu dengan setting modern dan tetap memakai beberapa element penting dari cerita aslinya. Pedro (Wagner Moura) dan Ana (Leticia Sabatella) adalah sepasang kekasih yang bekerja profesional sebagai aktor teater, mereka berdua sedang mempersiapkan pementasan teater Tristan dan Isolde, hubungan mereka mengalir bak indahnya hubungan cinta antara 2 karakter yang mereka perankan, banyak sekali moment romantis dan indah yang menghiasi hari2 menjelang pementasan teater tersebut. Namun kepopuleran ana yang juga sebagai bintang televisi terkenal membuat Pedro semakin meragukan keseriusannya menjalani kehidupan sebagai aktor teater, apalagi beberapa kali Ana datang terlambat untuk latihan atau mungkinkah sebenarnya Pedro mulai merasa tidak suka akan kepopularitas Ana yang lebih darinya, dan dia takut kehilangan ana, tapi dia tidak mau mengakuinya? Dengan merefleksikan hubungan Tristan dan Isolde pada kehidupan nyata mereka, Pedro dan Ana akhirnya harus menyudahi semua romance yang pernah mereka jalani. Pedro yang sangat idelis dan ana yang simple. Sepertinya film-film drama romantis film inipun berakhir manis dan memuaskan semua penonton, ketidakcocokan mereka tadi akhirnya mereka build ulang dan mencoba untuk mencoba menyadari kesalahan masing2 dan berdamai dengan keegoisan. Film ini dibintangi oleh Wagner Moura, salah satu aktor papan atas Brazil, di Indonesia Moura dikenal dengan Film The Elite Squad (2007) yang diputar pada Jiffest 2008 lalu.
