Gareth J Satisfying slow burn drama/horror set against a chilly woodland backdrop. Nicely acted, holds its cards close to its chest and will reward the patient viewer. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Hugo S Rose lives in seclusion with her husband in a cabin in the woods. The couple's relationship is tense as the woman sees her mysterious disease as a burden. The unexpected arrival of a troubled guest will forever change the courses of their lives. "Rose: A Love Story" is an unusual approach to the vampire subgenre. The movie is driven by the couple's suffering and daily struggles. A love story shaped by one of the most terrifying dramas of human condition: illness. Dark and tender! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Frustratingly slow paced plot. The dialog is annoying and exhausting to suffer through. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Peter Bradshaw Guardian This feels like a project that could have done with more script development, good though the actors are. Rated: 2/5 Mar 30, 2021 Full Review Audrey Owusu London Evening Standard It's the modern love story most of us crave. Well, some of us. Rated: 4/5 Oct 26, 2020 Full Review Wendy Ide Screen International Eerily intimate in tone and positioned on the restrained end of the horror spectrum, Rose: A Love Story is a striking feature directing debut for Jennifer Sheridan. Oct 19, 2020 Full Review Ben Flanagan Vague Visages Even when an inevitable interloper arrives at their house to add drama to proceedings, the film remains inert and uninterested in the contradictions that make people the way they are. It’s lifeless. Feb 7, 2024 Full Review Daryl MacDonald InSession Film Unfortunately, it suffers from over-indulgence and will likely test the patience of all but the most ardent of horror fans, and the pay-off is nowhere near satisfying enough for the build-up involved in getting there. Rated: C- Mar 8, 2023 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast A hell of a debut from Sheridan & Stokoe and for audiences and horror fans it will be love at first bite.
