Royalteen is a love story about living with your mistakes, conquering your fears and breaking the internet. When prince Karl Johan (Mathias Storhøi), Kalle amongst friends, and newcomer Lena (Ines Høysæter Asserson) start to develop warm feelings for each other, Lena is charmed but also skeptic, for many reasons. Party prince Kalle is a regular figure in the tabloids and the gossip blogs -- one of them was run anonymously by Lena herself, until she was exposed. Lena is painfully aware that dating the future king might put them both in an impossible situation and she has not told Kalle or anyone else about her even bigger secret, which is also the reason why she moved from her hometown.

Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com Royalteen is a simple and expected teen drama that does what it does best – keeps things nice and easy. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 17, 2024 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews This is an awkward sudser with few redeeming features. Rated: C May 18, 2023 Full Review John Serba Decider There’s no main plot here, just a hodgepodge of episodes in Margrethe’s bottomed-out life, adding up to a rom-dram spinning all four tires in a mudhole of mediocrity. May 12, 2023 Full Review Jason Flatt But Why Tho? A Geek Community Royalteen knows exactly what kind of movie it wants to be, and for that, it is able to thrive. While it’s a little flat in some places, the romance at its center certainly does it for me, and it’s nice to see them surrounded by truly good people... Rated: 6.5/10 Jan 4, 2023 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media Unlikely teen romance has language, sex, and partying. Rated: 3/5 Aug 29, 2022 Full Review Radhika Menon Decider Royalteen skates by on the chemistry of its two leads, but is a head-scratcher when it comes to the plot. Emma A this movie sucked. there were so many hot side characters that would've played the price better than whatshisface did. don't watch this movie. it's cringe. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review Jessica H The person who is playing the prince is such a poor actor. Could have been better if they did not chose that actor for the prince. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/23 Full Review Maikel F What a terrible story and "non-ending ending". There are things called cliffhangers, that wasn't one, that was just the video description of "running out of time". YOu know Theo is her son from minute 1, so the big twist is there's no twist and yet the whole movie turns around that. I honestly don't get why Netflix bought the rights to this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/18/22 Full Review frank b Nice twist with the brother thing. Not sure what to think about the ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review renee d The ending could have been better. The sister collapsed and then what? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Pak Cos I watched the movie and it reminded me of another show on netflix very closely but didn't do it so well. Young Royals. Even using the same sets AS WELL as the same songs. the big difference is it being a straight romance and not a queer one. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/22 Full Review Read all reviews
