Simone, 28, is a young black attorney who has spent years offering live online sex performances to pay for law school. She has just passed the bar examination for public defender and quit her live sex performances on the web as she no longer needs the money. Her new routine consists in attending public defense preparatory classes, working as legal assistant during sessions providing help to women subject to domestic violence and taking Kung Fu lessons with Lucia (27), a white friend from law school. The two girls share feminist ideals and the dream of using their law degree to change society. During one of her Kung Fu classes, distracted, Lucia lands a solid blow to Simone's face, knocking her down and hurting her lip. Lucia begs forgiveness, but her friend rushes into the locker room. Lucia goes after her and tries to help her clean her bleeding lip. But Simone, with an evident smack of satisfaction, avoids all her efforts. Their struggle soon turns into a violent/affectionate bout of sex. Simone is gradually introduced into the world of BDSM (bondage, discipline and sadomasochism) practices by her friend. But Lucia soon begins to feel uncomfortable with the increasing violence, categorizing Simone's desire for it as a reflection of society's male chauvinistic ways. Simone then begins to get involved in BSDM with Coyote (27) her roommate and fellow prep course student. With him she exposes herself to progressively more dangerous situations. Eventually he becomes afraid of hurting Simone and stops their bouts of sex. On her own now, Simone has to decide if she heads down the newly discovered path of violence with a stranger she has met on the internet who has revealed to be interested in getting into heavier things.
