Steve D Good family bonding will be had rolling your eyes together at this dumb film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/03/23 Full Review Michael O This movie is EXCELLENT. Placing this movie in 1987, when it was, allows for a fuller appreciation. I watched this in the theater back then. It was/is not only accessible to younger viewers, it is very entertaining with good moral underpinnings. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/10/21 Full Review Audience Member 73% -No Wimps- "It's American imperialism that threatens world peace."-Meischa (Whip Hubley) Ballsie. "It taste like America."-Mischa Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review john m Hilariously bad. Seeing Joaquin Phoenix this young in a starring role is interesting but good God, the amount of 80s cliche in here is just nauseating and consistently humorous. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Frances H Cute, enjoyable movie reminiscent of The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming from the 60s and other kids get together to save the day 80s movies such as Goonies, E.T., and Explorers (which featured River Phoenix). Pure, wholesome entertainment with a great message of Glasnost. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/03/13 Full Review Audience Member (**): If I was younger, I probably would have liked this one more. I found this to be just "ok" and something I probably will never watch again. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times I am enough of a realist to realize that adults probably had to come into this plot at one point or another, but the adults, unfortunately, bring grown-up movie cliches along with them, and that spoils some of the fun.
