Giuseppe Sedia Kino Mania Salto (1965) is still an impressive specimen of Konwicki’s imaginative storytelling combined with a brilliant soundtrack from Wojciech Kilar. The satire on provincial bigotry is used to examine the mentality of post-war Poland. Rated: 4/5 Feb 14, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Blending realism with surrealism, Salto shows how one man's arrival at a peaceful town changes the whole community's attitude towards each other and life itself. Zbigniew Cybulski plays a mysterious loner, who claims that he's been in the village before, yet no one seems to know him. Telling different stories about his life, he comes as a frightened and incomprehensible person. Clever and thought-provoking dialogues showcase the movie's ability to contemplate about life-and-death issues and the individualism that tears us from the entirety. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Private monologue which I would rather see on stage. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member To jest wlasciwie teatr, a nie film. Odrobione zbyt powazny, jak na moj gust.
