Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle It's a film that you absorb, until it slithers around and engulfs you. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 27, 2021 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Here's a shivery treat for horror connoisseurs more interested in mood and atmosphere than blood and guts. Rated: 3/4 Mar 4, 2021 Full Review Anya Stanley AV Club Through both theme and texture, Graham approximates the slow phobia of Ari Aster's Hereditary-the pervasive feeling that the dominos are tumbling and there is nothing that can be done about it. Rated: B+ Feb 19, 2021 Full Review Kevin Woodley InSession Film Accept the film on its strange, brilliantly unnerving terms, and you'll find it slipping into your dreams. Any horror fan should be scrambling to see this as soon as they can. Rated: A Apr 3, 2024 Full Review Rebecca Johnson Film Focus Online Sator is an extremely slow-burning horror, full of truly frightening imagery and well-crafted jump scares, however the plot may not quite be interesting enough to hold the attention of a wider audience. A Geek Community The authentic nature and the intentional ambiguity of Sator leaves the viewer with the feeling they’ve witnessed something they shouldn’t have. David F Terrible. I spent $5 on this bs. Maybe I'm not some dark film student that appreciates no dialogue or any sort of scare action so I don't get it. To just a regular horror movie fan looking for some entertainment this was absolute trash. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/24 Full Review Tech G Most people wouldn't like this movie, but those that do connect with it become immersed in it. This movie is eerie and mesmerizing in ways that I haven't seen before. Perhaps I'm under Sator's spell, or maybe I'm just crazy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/15/24 Full Review Emilliano Jr S Boring. So boring i fell asleep Zzzzz. 😴 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/24 Full Review Jerry K Very slow burn with no payoff. Some great camera work and establishing shots, and great sound design. Otherwise fairly predictable and a little boring. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Siradof This movie really dragged, and almost put me to sleep. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review thom g Restrained and dark, Sator manages to create its own bleak atmosphere and slow-burning tension.
